Hey my Good FRIENDS!
Well I am sure you are all intrested where life has led me.lol Well we are now living back in Brigham City, (I know its odd) lol Well my husband was in the Army for the past 5 years, he was in the Infantry. We were stationed in Alaska, at Fort Wainwright (Fairbanks) We love ALASKA! Yes it would get down to -50 to -67 every winter, its crazy! But we miss it, and would do anything to go back. Kurtis went to Iraq, and was there for 17 1/2 months. I know crazy right. Well he was on his way back home, 2 days from my doorstep, and thats when Donald Rumsfelt EXTENDED them for adittional 120 more days. They started the Surge into Baghdad. That is when our life changed forever. Kurtis' company was ambushed, and kurtis plus 12 others from his squad were seriously injured, and 2 were KIA. Now he is home, and doing better than he was, but then he got Severe PTSD, and was medically retired from the army due to all of his complications. I told him well there are not many 28 year olds that have a Military Retirement.lol So we are back here putting our life back together. Kurtis is going back to school, in audiology. I finished my Bachelors in Respitory Therapy.
But despite our trials, we loved the military, and glad we served. We have 3 children. Kayla is almost 7, and Turner is 3 and Allie is almost 2. So you can guess I am busy! I stay home with them, and are doing more classes online, ( who knows where I am going with it. lol) Just to stay busy. Anyways, I am so glad that I was able to meet up with this blog! Cannot wait to hear from you all! Remembering the Good ol' Days!
Love ya all,
Amber Edelman (Hall)

BTW, don't worry, I live in brigham still too. Nice place to live if you can stay entertained at home. the night life in brigham ends at 4:30 PM

Wow, you have done a lot in 9 years! It is probably nice to be in Brigham for awhile, and give yourselves a chance to let life slow down a bit. I hope things go well for your husband. I admire anyone who can go through something like that. Do you like working in respiratory therapy? That's cool that you and your husband are both going into health fields. Sounds like your kids are growing up quickly too. It's good to hear from you.

LOL- Blen. Although I agree that there isn't a night life in Brigham, I love the way you phrased it ;)

Must be true love
Holy crap this took me an hour! Anyway, I think I figured out how to post a picture. If so, this is a recent picture of Doug and I. His mom and sister came to visit and we did some sightseeing. This is a typical example of Doug showing his affection.

Cool pictures - no pun intended. How long were you in Alaska? Did Lindsey get to go with you?

Yeah me and lindsay (and her extended family) went for a week. it was pretty neat.

So this trip was an actual vacation? That's pretty awesome. Did you have fun with her family?

Yeah this was on of many trips i have taken but one of the first vacations i have had in a while. it was not bad with her family. they are very good to me and treat me like one of the family

Cute pics. You should definitely submit Peter's uniform modifications to the Department of the Air Force. That would definitely be a big hit!
How exciting that Lalee is eight. It looks like you guys had quite a party! I bet cleaning up after that many kids was fun! I can't believe that much time has past since Lalee was born! Congratulations on baptism, too, Lalee.

I am going to try the new uniform mods at drill next month. maybe they will put it into effect!!

Looks fun but hectic! I especially like the Hawaii theme. That's pretty exciting that Lalee is baptized. It's hard to believe that it has already been eight years! Your family is so cute, thanks for keeping us updated.

Blen- did you try the new uniform mods at the drill? :) I really think that it would add some color to the bland fatigues.

This picture could be used for a Wii comercial!! What game are they playing

Classic. I especially like the "gut".

I have no idea what game they were playing at this particular point. They didn't actually end up going to sleep because they stayed up ALL night long playing- LOL, I wish I could Pete to stay up all night long to play games with me;)
And Christina- Yeap, loved the gut 'cause it's so classic James, "You wanna take a picture? Here I'll give you something to take a picture of." We love you James:)

The camera adds 100 pounds. How long has this picture been up? My beautiful beach body could cause riots in the streets if left up for to long.
Crazy, I do not think I have heard from you since we were in band together back in '98 or so. It is good to hear from you again.
